"Their flagship outerwear piece each fall season, the Grandad coat relaxes the classic trench coat design with soft raglan shoulders and rounded lapels that roll down to form a shawl. Cinched with a belt, it comes together as more of luxe robe than the rainwear you'd think of. This version comes in a subtle herringbone made from a variety beiges all found natural to the sheep in the area. It's a cool, desaturated statement piece to wrap the abundance of rich olives, browns, and rusts that fill our winter wardrobe."---Ludwin

About this Maker

De Bonne Facture

This Parisian maker of sustainable luxury will tell you everything, and more

It’s hard not to notice a De Bonne Facture piece when you see one. It doesn’t stand out because of outlandish design or embellishments, but rather because it seems familiar but better. By utilizing superlative fabrics and paying careful attention to every detail, we see collection after collection that is always tasteful but never boring. There is a certain Parisian-ness to wearing fine clothing casually, and while this clearly serves as inspiration for the brand it feels completely in-line with the rest of our store.

Déborah Sitbon Neuberg named her brand after a French expression that describes a way of doing things well, embracing the connection between designing and manufacturing. Taking this to heart, every piece is represented with full transparency, from the source of the fabric to the individual atelier or workshop that produced it, spotlighting France’s storied history of fine clothing craftsmanship.
