These are the real deal. Made up in black "Deutschleder" - a very dense, very heavy cotton made for carpenters by the same German company for over 100 years. The name means German Leather, as it is seen to be as thick and sturdy as leather, and these are the kind of trousers that will stand up on their own. The copper rivets were punched one by one with a hammer, a bolt cutter and a setting tool in Frank's studio - as he put it, "a real challenge".
