The centre piece of Inis Meain's fall/winter collection, the New Aran Fisherman's sweater is the result of a collaboration with Lucy Downes of Sphere One, a modern knit design label. Focusing on what Inis Meain can do today to advance comfort, and that a knitter in the 1950's might not have been able to achieve, the piece is technically challenging to knit and construct, with contrasting segments and applied bulls wool patches, and a truly original new Aran for today.

Saddle sleeve construction, traditional fisherman pattern on chest
Cashmere accent panels and inner collar, looser stitch in armpits for better air circulation
