"Between the fabric itself and cut, this one is a heavy hitter. Something between a chore coat and a regular shirt, the three pocket configuration and heavier weight to the madras give it that layering feel and the shirting construction and plaid give the easy, everyday feel of your favorite shirt, just combined so it's a little freaky and cool. Something that'll go seamlessly with your daily fits but unconventional enough to grant you style points (plus some utility)."---Kenshawn

"My work is the extension of my joy to wear garments in my own style."

--- Takuji Suzuki

Takuji Suzuki’s attended the Kuwasawa Design Institute, but his interest in clothes started well before. He remembers moments in fifth grade where he noticed that he was developing a different relationship with clothes than most of his schoolmates. He shared this passion with his brother Daiki, who later became the founder and designer of Engineered Garments. These self-described “clothing maniacs” spent an adolescence seeking rare vintage workwear or military pieces to add to their closets.

After working as a freelance stylist, editor and creative director for a fashion magazine, Takuji Suzuki started in 1999 his own menswear brand named “TS”. Ten years later, he reconstructed the brand concept entirely and changed the name to ts(s). Suzuki’s designs shine in their use of subtle color patterns and palette, intricate detailing and unusual textile choices.

Suzuki is passionate about fabrics. For him, fabrics are the most fundamental aspect of the ts(s) brand. Every season, the ts(s) collection includes fifteen to twenty exclusive original fabrics. These unique materials enhance the identity of their garments and designs, and making them compelling to see, touch and wear.

Our favorite clothes, like our favorite people, are those that draw us in at first sight, and reward us more and more the closer we look. We are happy to have ts(s) garments in our webstore - but we hope you’ll be even happier when you have them in your hands.
